Home Sweet Home Game - Londji
Once upon a time...there was a city where all the houses were beautiful, colourful, not too tall and decorated with lots of flowers.
We LOVED this game at our team games night. It makes sometimes incomprehensible numeracy easy and fun, and children are doing simple maths without even thinking about it.
The objective is to create a city by building houses. In turn, each player picks a card and places it on one of the buildings or exchanges it with another player. If your card is of a roof design, you must check that the sum of all the windows in building adds up to the number on the roof. And if it does - you can proudly put your mat in front of the door to claim the house as your own.
At frist this is a simple counting and addition game, but after a while players start to calculate where is the best place to add a floor to the building in order to score more highly - maths in action without a second thought!
