Hank Goes Honk (Board)
£7.99
Hank the Goose has never met a balloon he didn't pop, a silence he didn't fill, or a library visit that didn't end in chaos. He honks. It's what he does. It's just that it's upsetting everyone around him, and even Hank is starting to wonder if perhaps things could be a little different, if only changing yourself weren't quite so complicated. Maudie Powell-Tuck and Duncan Beedie have created an absolutely loveable anti-hero with deadpan humour and a genuinely warm heart, and this sturdy board book format means even the smallest, most enthusiastic readers can get their hands on him.
We love it because:
- Hank is immediately, completely loveable despite (because of?) being a lot
- The deadpan humour lands perfectly for children and the grown-ups reading alongside them
- The message about trying to change, and finding it hard, is handled with real gentleness
- Duncan Beedie's illustrations are bold, funny and full of character
- The board book format makes it accessible for toddlers who are ready for a slightly longer story

Great for:
- Ages 2 and up
- Children who are also, occasionally, a lot (no judgement, none at all)
