7. The prize. One winner will receive a single original illustrated portrait of one child of the winner's choosing, drawn as a mermaid by Rhian Wright. The portrait will be an original artwork on paper and will be posted to the winner or available for collection from the shop. The winner will be asked to supply a clear photograph of the child for Rhian to work from. The style, medium, size and composition of the portrait are at the artist's discretion. Please allow up to eight weeks from the winner supplying a photograph for the artwork to be completed.
8. No cash alternative. The prize is non-transferable and there is no cash alternative. The Promoter reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value should circumstances beyond its control make this necessary.
9. Winner selection and notification. The winner will be drawn at random from all valid entries on Wednesday 2nd September 2026, supervised by an independent person. The winner will be notified by email within two working days of the draw. If the winner does not respond within 14 days of the notification email being sent, the Promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize and draw an alternative winner.
10. Publicity. The winner's first name and county may be published on the Promoter's website and social media channels. The winner may request that this information is not published, or ask for the amount of information published to be reduced, by contacting the Promoter. The Promoter may photograph the finished portrait for use in its own marketing; the winner may decline this, and the Promoter will ask for permission before sharing any image of the child.
11. Your details. If you enter using the online form, your name and email address are added to our Competition Entries list so that we can administer the draw and tell you the result. We will not send you general marketing on the strength of that alone. The form carries a separate, optional tick box if you would also like our newsletter; only if you tick it are you added to our newsletter list, and you can unsubscribe from it at any time. Entry slips completed in store, and details taken from online orders, are used only to administer this competition. Your details are never passed to any third party and are handled in line with our privacy policy.
12. General. Entry into the competition confirms acceptance of these terms and conditions. The Promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms where it is necessary to do so for reasons outside its reasonable control. This promotion is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
