Some children are going through a phase. And some children have simply identified who they are, and who they are is someone who needs a dark blue glittery cape immediately. This one shimmers, it twirls, it catches the light in the way that makes a six-year-old go very quiet and then very loud. It will be worn to breakfast. Possibly to school. Almost certainly to a place where you will have to explain it to another adult, and honestly, good for them.
